About the Dezzy Awards
One of the biggest challenges in a cloud-based national brokerage is agent recognition. As growth accelerates, individual wins can get lost - especially when success is measured only at the national or state level. Brick-and-mortar offices have long held one advantage here: the geographic density to recognize excellence at a hyper-local level in a way that hasn't historically been possible at national scale. That never sat right with us.
At LPT Realty, we know the hard work happens locally - ZIP code by ZIP code, city by city, market by market. And that belief led us to build something entirely new. We're proud to introduce the Dezzy Awards - a first-of-its-kind recognition program designed to celebrate top-performing agents from coast to coast, at the most meaningful level: their real markets.
A New Standard for Agent Recognition
The Dezzy Awards recognize excellence not just at national and state levels, but across cities and ZIP codes, creating more than 2,000 opportunities for agents to be acknowledged for their performance - without competing against uneven markets or unrealistic benchmarks. That context matters deeply to us as champions of each agent's individual definition of success. With the Dezzy awards, we want success to feel attainable, relevant, and real - just as it should be.
And the recognition won't stop inside our LPT Community. What are The Dezzys?
The Dezzys are lpt Realty's internal brokerage awards program, recognizing and ranking LPT Realty agents against other LPT Realty agents only - not against the broader real estate market. These awards are designed to celebrate the production, activity, and commitment of our members within the LPT Realty ecosystem.
How do The Dezzys differ from other industry awards?
Unlike market-wide awards that rely on third-party or MLS-reported data, The Dezzys are internal-only awards. Agents are compared solely to other LPT Realty agents, creating a consistent and apples-to-apples comparison within our brokerage.
What does "Top Producing Realtor" mean in The Dezzys?
A Top Producing Realtor is an agent recognized by LPT Realty as ranking at the top of their specific geography compared to other LPT Realty agents in that same geography. Most geographies have multiple recipients. Rankings are relative within LPT Realty, not across the entire industry. Recognition reflects production and activity as measured by LPT Realty's internal data.
Does LPT use market-wide or industry data?
No. LPT Realty does not use market-wide or industry-comparison data for The Dezzys. Because there is no fully transparent, standardized dataset across all brokerages and markets, The Dezzys intentionally rely only on internal LPT Realty data. This ensures fairness, consistency, and clarity for our members.
What activities are included in The Dezzy Awards?
The Dezzys consider all activities that LPT Realty defines as producing activities of a REALTOR®, including - but not limited to: representing buyers or sellers in closed transactions; writing offers for buyers; reviewing offers for sellers; listing properties for sale; conducting listing presentations; educating buyers using homebuyer workbooks; hosting and marketing open houses; sending direct mail or marketing to advertise properties; participating in training, education, and skill-building classes. The Dezzys recognize the full scope of activities REALTORS® perform to serve clients and grow their business, not just one narrow metric.
How accurate is the data used for The Dezzys?
LPT Realty uses internal systems and reporting to generate Dezzy rankings. That said, no dataset is perfect - occasional typos, timing issues, or data-entry errors can occur. For that reason: agents are encouraged to review their Dezzy data; any potential inaccuracies should be reported to LPT Realty during the review period; final Dezzy Awards are publicly published after review, including placement in major newspapers across the country during the first week of March.
What time period do The Dezzys cover?
The Dezzys follow a calendar-year lookback, similar to other well-known industry recognitions. For example, the 2026 Dezzys were issued in 2026, which is based on 2025 production and activity data. This mirrors the timing used by many industry-wide awards that LPT Realty agents may also participate in.
Should consumers hire an agent based solely on a Dezzy Award?
While we believe that knowing an agent is a Top Producing Realtor at LPT Realty in a particular geography is helpful information, consumers should always do their own research. Hiring a real estate professional is an important decision, and clients should consider multiple factors - experience, communication style, local knowledge, and personal fit - when choosing an agent.
Do the Dezzys replace other industry awards?
No. Many LPT Realty agents participate in and earn recognition from external industry awards. The Dezzys are intended to complement - not replace - those recognitions.
Do Dezzy Awards imply experience or expertise beyond lpt Realty?
No. Dezzy recognition reflects an agent's relative standing within LPT Realty only during the applicable award period. It does not represent market-wide rankings, lifetime experience, or industry dominance.
Can agents misuse Dezzy Awards in their marketing?
Agents are expected to accurately represent Dezzy recognition as an internal LPT Realty award and must comply with all brokerage advertising standards and applicable laws. Misrepresentation is not permitted.
Do The Dezzys evaluate an agent's license status or regulatory standing?
No. The Dezzys are designed to recognize historical production and professional activity based on internal data recorded during the applicable award period. Licensing status, regulatory matters, or disciplinary proceedings are governed by applicable laws and oversight bodies and are addressed through separate, established compliance processes. Dezzy recognition is not intended to evaluate, assess, or comment on an agent's legal, ethical, or regulatory standing. Those matters are handled independently and, where appropriate, confidentially, in order to respect due process and consumer protection standards.
